Actually it states we are monkeys currently and I can prove it.

A line of decent from our ancestors means we cannot be something our ancestors were not also.

We're members of the clade of Haplorine Primates which branched into Platarhines and Catarhines.

Platarhines the new world monkeys  which have splayed nostrals and Prehensile tails.

Catarhines which have down pointed noses and non prehensile tails or no tails at all.

Catarhines which are collectively known as the Old world monkeys branched off into the Hominids and the Ceropiths.

Cercopiths being ALL currently recognized colloquially as monkeys in africa and asia, and Hominids all being recognized as apes, but all of which are still monkeys.

Hominids then branched off into Gorillas, orangutans, Bonobos, Chimpanzees and the lineage that became humans.

ALL of which are monkeys.  Every single animal group I mentioned came from a parental group which were all infact, monkeys.

SO yes, evolution does heavily imply that we not only came from monkeys, but are still monkeys now.

Get over it.
